Welcome.
By visiting this site, you have taken the first step toward change. I applaud your effort and courage. You are probably looking for a therapist because you have tried everything you can think of, and nothing seems to work. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your partner, a family member or friend, finding the right therapist is essential. Time and time again, research has shown that the best indicator of success in therapy is the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client.
My clients tell me I am kind, easy going, compassionate, friendly and helpful. You will experience me as a real person, I will not just ask questions and leave you to sort it all out. I will work with you to help identify options, strategies and tools you may not have previously tried.
Life can get so overwhelming that at times it is hard to keep it all in balance or find time for you. Maybe you feel stressed, sad, angry or anxious because you are facing a difficult life change, like a divorce, serious illness or the death of someone you love. Maybe you are facing a serious role transition due to a serious illness or injury to you or your loved one or taking on the caregiving role to your aging parents. Perhaps you are simply looking to be happy again.
Many people seek out therapy because they are at a point in their life where they need extra support. Support from a therapist who understands them and what they are going through. Many seek out help from a person who is not personally involved in their circumstances but can understand what they are going through and get them through the tough times.
I have personally experienced illness in my family, the death of a parent at an early age, divorce, being a caregiver and a single mother. Thus, I bring a lot of personal, as well as professional experience that allows me to better relate to your life challenges. While I don’t frequently talk about my experiences during your therapy, they have given me a deep sense of compassion for clients going through life changing events and difficult emotions.
